First molds are in production 🚀

Mold files have been carefully reviewed (and for good reason!) so we are now confident we are in a good place moving forward. There are a lot of keys involved, and many molds, so this was not easy!

We are now entering Stage 1 (see previous update), and decided to first make molds for spacebars, as well as a couple legends. This way we can make sure everything is on par with the test mold, and both make sure warping won't be an issue (which is common on spacebars), and that the doubleshot process goes smoothly. The one URSA test mold we did before was singleshot (no legend) 1u keys. Now is the time to step up and go for the real thing!

These molds are the actual production molds, and will be made with all the care that is required, to make sure the end product lives up to our expectations. You are welcome to follow the process in here, and join the journey!

Samples coming

We expect to get the first samples (spacebars, Esc and Return keys) in the coming weeks! If it is perfect (spoiler: it won't be) we move forward with the other molds, otherwise we adjust and depending on the number and importance of imperfections, we either start the other molds, or wait until we get those in a better place.

Timeline update

Despite a couple weeks setback due to the number of files to review and small inconsistencies we spotted, we are still on track to deliver Q1 2025.
