After a couple more round of samples, and while China is on a 1 week holiday, here is the current status of URSA production:

• We have received the spacebars, and they are all approved (see photos below)
• The doubleshot legends are not approved yet
• Artisans production will start next month

Spacebars look and feel amazing. There is no warping, they sit perfectly on the keyboard both in the switch stem and the stabs, and the texture is exactly what we wanted.

We are happy to have finally approved the first production mold 🎉

Doubleshot legends

As you can see in the photos above, we also got samples of the doubleshot legends. They are not approved yet, as there are still some issues to solve. While they may look good on the photos, they are not sitting perfectly on the keyboard and there are also some slight inconsistencies in the legends themselves.

We still need to work on that, and given the timeline and the fact that we should be shipping right now, not having that first double shot mold approved is not acceptable.

Timeline update

We are waiting for our supplier to get back from the holiday to have a discussion about the molds. We are not happy with the situation, and need to be reassured that they can achieve the quality we expect in a timely manner as we are already late on schedule.

We are doing our best to push this project into happening the soonest. Making these molds is not easy, but we need those issues solved to move forward.

We need all the support we can get, but it is completely understandable as this isn't what you originally signed up for.
